First Year African American Teacher Fundraising for a Classroom Rug

Help me give my students a classroom rug to engage in their learning. First year fundraiser!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lewis's classroom raised $439

This project is fully funded

My Project

I am thrilled to announce my fundraising that is aimed at enhancing education and creativity among our students. Currently, I am raising money for a classroom rug.

I believe that creating designated rug spots in our classrooms will significantly contribute to a more engaging and productive learning environment.

With your support, we can provide our students with a unique and interactive space that fosters imagination, collaboration, and growth.

The Importance of Designated Rug Spots:

A designated rug spot is more than just a piece of carpet; it's a versatile learning tool that promotes various essential skills and benefits for students of all ages. Here are a few reasons why we believe investing in designated rug spots is crucial:

Active Learning Environment: Sitting on a rug encourages students to be physically and mentally engaged, as they can move freely, participate actively, and explore different learning activities.

Collaboration and Communication: A shared rug space facilitates group discussions, teamwork, and peer-to-peer learning. It provides a safe and inclusive space where students can collaborate, exchange ideas, and build relationships.

Imagination and Creativity: A designated rug spot sparks imagination and creativity, enabling students to think outside the box and explore their artistic potential. It serves as a canvas for various activities like storytelling, role-playing, and dramatic performances.

Comfort and Relaxation: Sitting on a soft, designated rug spot creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, allowing students to feel relaxed, focused, and ready to learn. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting overall well-being.

How You Can Help:

We kindly request your generous support to make our vision of designated rug spots in our classrooms a reality. Your contributions will go towards purchasing a high-quality rug. We aim to acquire durable and visually appealing rugs that can withstand daily use.
