First Things First in First Grade

My students need durable nameplate sleeves to last us the whole year! They also need classroom magnetic letters to work with in centers and small groups.

My Students

My first graders are in a dual language immersion classroom. They are so hard-working, each with individual personalities. Their little minds grasp at every chance to learn something new and intriguing.

In first grade, there is so much to learn and we have so much fun doing it!

It is so amazing to watch how much they develop different skills through the year. The best part about first grade is seeing the growth and progress of each student throughout the year!

My Project

First graders are hard on things. We are always moving and learning. My first graders would benefit from having the self-adhesive nameplate covers because they would last us the whole year.

The magnetic letters would be awesome to use when we are making and building words.

First grade is all about learning to read, so what better way to do that than to manipulate words? This gives the students a concrete way of learning their new words.

We can use the floatable, buildable toys in our water tables. The students love to do STEM activities and this will help them enhance their spatial awareness and fine motor skills.
