We have a high school First Robotics team. We are currently comprised of 12 students and are growing all the time. They are putting together supplies to run their current competition year.
The items the team are seeking will allow them to further their STEM learning.
Through the robotics program, they learn to set goals, develop plans, and implement those plans. They learn to put together business plans and to be self sutainable. This program allows them a safe place to develop the skills they will need to be successful in the work force later in life. Our kids have been known to tell people that Robotics is the "hardest fun they will ever have".
They learn to work with gracious professionalism. They help one another through the trial and error process of learning to build a robot that completes an assigned task.
My Project
This donation will help the team attain their goal for this year's competition season by giving them items they don't currently have access to. Often times, the team finds themselves without the ability to purchase items they need to be more readily successful. They have learned to work cooperatively, challenge one another, problem solve, deal with both failure and success in a positive manner. This program teaches self discovery, confidence, and STEM learning. It will provide these students with skills they will take with them long after graduation and entrance into the work force. Please help them continue on the path of learning.
