First Graders Want Treasures

Help me give my students new treasure box toys to use as incentives for a positive classroom culture.

My Project

I teach first grade students at a Title I school in Florida, where one hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn!

It is my hope to create group incentives for my kindergarten classroom.

My classroom has a variety of individual incentives for students, but I would like to motivate students to work together in teams as well. After having gone through a pandemic and coming back to socializing and being in group settings, it is my hope that the materials in this project will allow for more of a team building incentive. The new treasure box toys are the perfect addition and motivation for my students to work together to earn rewards! These new treasure box items would be such a fun reward for my students being on task and working together! We are hoping to get bracelets, smelly pencils, narwhal squishies and so much more.
