it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First graders at Matteo Sheedy have learned and discussed how we as humans impact the environment. We have learned how to recycle and be resourceful. To end the year I hope to show and teach my kiddos how to have a connection to the planet by showing them how to care and plant their own vegetable. This is made to be part of their science section where they will learn of a plants growth cycle, climate, and the importance of having these veggies in our diets. Having three cohorts of 27 students (81 students total), it is finically difficult to partake in activities as these. I do however, hope to expose my kiddos to such activities and feed their curiosity. My first graders have show resilience as they complete their first year of physical school and I would love to take them out of the classroom and be a part of something out of our routine.
