First Graders Present...a Day With Mo Willems: Readers Theater Edition!
Help me give my students costumes and props for our Mo Willems Readers Theater production! We need cots for Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs well as wigs and hats for our other plays.
I love my students! I have a classroom of 16 first graders that bring so much joy and energy into our classroom every day! They demonstrate so much enthusiasm and curiosity for learning and the world around them which inspires me more and more every day!
My first graders are an exceptionally creative bunch!
Every day I get to see a glimpse into their unique minds and each day brings a new idea I've never seen before! These special kiddos absolutely love to use their hands to create and invent, and their imaginations take them to the most unique places I've ever seen. I absolutely love coming to school each day to see what they'll come up with next!
My Project
My first graders love to read! They love choosing books they're interested in and have grown so much this year! They especially love sharing their books and love of reading with each other.
Our class are huge fans of the author Mo Willems and want to showcase that passion by putting on a Reader's Theater production of his best books!
We are going to work super hard to create an awesome show that demonstrates not only our love of this author but our fantastic reading skills. We need costumes and props to be able to put on this show.
I am so excited for our class to put on this production because it will show our parents and families how hard we've been working on reading this year by performing these Reader's Theater's scripts. It will also be a great lesson in both speaking skills needed to perform, and a wonderful confidence boost by putting on a performance and demonstrating what hard work will get you. Our parents will be just so thrilled to be able to witness this!
