My class is made up of 23 wonderful first graders. They bring me so much joy every single day, and I feel extremely lucky that I get to watch their little minds wonder and grow during their first grade year.
First grade is an unbelievably important year in a child's educational journey - in our school district, it is actually the first time that the boys and girls will be in school for a full day (that's a huge transition!)
If you were to peek into our classroom on a typical day, you might get to see my 1st graders engaged in reading, writing, math, or if you're lucky, playing junior scientists and performing some really fun experiments. Thee boys and girls love to learn and I couldn't be more proud to be their teacher.
My Project
I currently have twenty-three first graders in my class and only fourteen flexible seating options for them to choose from each week. This means that nine of my students are on “Flexible Seating Vacation” (which is zero fun). By donating to this project, you would be making nine boys and girls so unbelievably happy! I hope to see this project get funded so that I can share with all of you the joy and excitement my students are sure to feel when their new flexible seating options arrive at school! I know that they will be just as grateful as I am for your kindness.
