This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Did you learn about engineering when you were in first grade? I sure didn't! I want my students to learn about engineering during their year in first grade!

I teach 24 enthusiastic students in San Jose, CA.

I have 15 boys and 9 girls is my class. We are in the center of Silicon Valley! I want to prepare my students to have careers in technological fields. To help prepare them I want to expose them to engineering in my class!

My Project

I am requesting 6 Snap Circuit kits. These kits have everything that is needed to do fun engineering activities. Many times engineering kits come with everything that you need for 1 activity. This kit has everything that is needed for over 100 projects! There will be so many different things that my students can learn from a single kit! They will use the kit to detect water, make an AM radio, make a touch-controlled lamp, and make a flashlight doorbell. I know that my students will be incredibly excited to use this kit!

Your donation to my class will bring so much excitement to my classroom.

My students would be able to learn so much by having these fun, hands-on engineering activities. Thank you so much for taking an interest in my class and in public education!
