My students need a color printer that can print, scan and copy their work, and ink cartridges.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a First Grade English Literacy educator in a Dual Language Immersion magnet elementary school.
In our classroom the students enjoy creating their work on computers where they type stories on programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. The students can only save their work on the computers in the classroom and cannot print them out. The only way they can present any work is to have all of the students crowd around a computer monitor.
With a printer that can print, scan, and copy the world of presentation becomes open not only for the student but for the classroom as well. Students can now bring in pictures from newspapers, books, and magazines that they can import into their documents. The classroom can have it's own copier rather than use the school's copy machine that frequently breaks down or there are too many teachers waiting to get copies done that leaves no time to stand and wait because any time to make copies is very limited. With a classroom printer that copies, students will be able to get necessary work given to them without me leaving the classroom or waiting in line. The printer also serves as a way to print out photos of the students as they are working so that we may post them up on bulletin boards for the students as well as the school to see.
With the help from a donor, a printer can alleviate a lot of headache that I have to go through just to make copies done for the classroom without going to another part of school to use the copy machine or wait for someone to bring me the classroom's needed copies. My students and I will appreciate the help that you can give us. Thank you.
