This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager and curious first graders who love every opportunity to learn. They greet each day with excitement and show such excitement for new experiences.

Every day, students listen to books intently, learn through games, learn social skills, and revel at new learning.

First grade students are sponges for learning; this is a formative year in learning foundational reading and math skills. Watching them learn is one of my greatest joys!

My Project

This school year is an exciting one. We have the opportunity to work with more students in the classroom and make a big impact at the early age of first grade. Students are coming to us with a variety of experiences from last school year, but we are ready to start the year strong with lots of love, learning, and fun!

In this project, I am requesting materials to support the first graders at our school with the supplies they need to learn!

You will see I have requested basic supplies such as glue sticks, scissors, dry erase markers, file folders, and erasers; we will use these with daily activities. You will also see items such as Kleenex, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer to keep our classroom clean and healthy! I am requesting sandwich and gallon-sized bags to help with organization of student materials. Last, you will see multicultural-colored markers and crayons to ensure that ALL students see themselves in our classroom!

Students will use these materials every day as they simultaneously grow and learn! First grade is such a special time for students to learn to read and write, add and subtract, and play with others. Your contribution will surely benefit their experience!
