Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We, the players of Ms. K's class, will work hard to be the best team. We will complete our work, meet our AR goals, and have a lot of fun. - Student created mission statement.
My 18 new first grade students are full of energy and love learning new things every day.
Most of them come from a low income home where school is a safe place to spend their days. Each student is given a free breakfast every morning as well as free lunch.
My Project
Each day my students strive to show kindness and hard work as a team. I would love to be able to provide my students all of the same shirt for Fridays and field trips. They will be able to match everyone in their class, which makes them excited and focused during the day.
These shirts will bring my students together and make them feel like they belong on our team.
I am also requesting light up rings and finger lights to celebrate the students success once they reach their reading goals by having a glow in the dark dance party. The mints will stimulate the students brains and provide them with a treat during testing days.
