Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some of my students have yet to discover a love of reading. This school year, I would like to expose them to a variety of literature with the hopes that they become life-long lovers of reading like their teacher.

My school is centered in an urban community.

My classroom is truly multi-ethnic, and most of my students come from homes of low socioeconomic status. They are sweet, curious six-year-old children who need access to enrichment materials and exposure to positive habits such as reading daily.

My Project

My students will use this laptop for many things. They will use it to take their reading tests, to complete assignments during centers, to access our educational online programs, and to research topics discussed in class. Students that do not have computers at home will be able to use these laptops to complete their assignments before or after class. This project would improve our classroom on a daily basis.

My students will be able to learn the way they are meant to in the 21st century and beyond.

They will have access to all the information they need and learn research skills that will stay with them forever.
