This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a Title I, inner-city public school. My school serves 930 students. Our school is very diverse and we have many bilingual and international students. Our neighborhood is also very diverse, and all of our students live within the neighborhood. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students and school need support and resources to continue our successes.
Our first-grade kiddos will need 30 copies of each core text for at home literacy learning.
My Project
We need books to distribute to students for virtual learning. These books will allow students to track and read along with their teachers at home. These books are in module 1, and students will need these books to launch into the new school year.
Imagine the excitement of the first graders to have the SAME book as their teacher to read and read again at home.
Our kids deserve the very best, and these books will help the students develop a sincere love of reading and learning. Thank you for helping us!
