This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are requesting cotton tees in assorted sizes so students can tie dye their own shirts for field day! It has become a tradition in my class and the kids really look forward to it… not only that, but the kids also feel special and united because our class has the most creativity on the grade! We are also requesting an essential oil diffuser because of a pest issue; lavender scents are proven to deter pests in a harmless way. We need replacement toner cartridges for our classroom copier and printer. As a special education classroom, work is modified on a frequent basis to meet the needs our our diverse learners and thus, ink runs out fairly often. These replacement cartridges will allow us to continue accommodating our little learners. Lastly, we are requesting some STEM activities such as legos and magnetic tiles for students to engage in during fun Fridays. I like these activities because they are hands on and allow students to work collaboratively (or independently, if they choose) to create.
