Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help me BUILD mathematicians, scientists, and engineers! I teach in a STEM school and we are in need of hands on materials to help our students learn through exploration.
We are a second year, K-4 public elementary STEM school, with a high percentage of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
The focus of our school is on science, technology, engineering and math. We are in need of supplies to help our students explore engineering, mathematics and science, because school is the only place that many of these children will be exposed to these types of materials.
My Project
I have requested math and science centers so that my students will have a variety of hands on, common core materials to explore math and science. Children become much more involved in learning when they are able to learn through hands on activities and play.
It is said that children are our future.
I am educating the next Scientists, Teachers, Doctors, Chemists, AND Engineers. In order to ensure our future, we must make sure they get the best education possible. These materials will help them to do just that.
