My Project

You won't believe that I have to talk to most of my first graders to add drawings to their writing or even to show their work when doing math problems. When I first began teaching about 16 years ago, I had to tell students to start with their writing because they would spend all of their time with their drawings. Nowadays, they just want to get it done without really putting much effort, creativity, and quality into their work.

I want to promote creativity in my classroom.

I am hoping these various materials will help motivate my students to do their best work. I want to incorporate project-based learning, so that they can have products that they can be proud of.
