My students need basic classroom materials and supplies to enrich the classroom environment and learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a diverse group of learners who love school. Their curiosity and enthusiasm create a strong sense of community in our classroom, and despite any challenges they may face, they blossom with resilience each day.
Many of my students qualify for free-and-reduced lunch, classifying our school as Tile I.
With many English Language Learners and students with high learning needs, it is imperative that our environment supports students in every way. The primary grades are a beautiful opportunity to build a strong foundation for learning to support them throughout their education. I aim each day to build that for my students.
My Project
No amount of back-to-school deals or coupons could help cover the cost of supplying a classroom for a year! My first grade class will need basic supplies such as folders and notebooks; we also need materials to build our environment--think storage drawers and magnets! These supplies are not for a one-time project, but rather a set of materials that we will use through the full school year and beyond. Having ample supplies and storage materials will allow our classroom environment to be kid-friendly and organized!
From book boxes to markers to bandaids, it sure takes a lot to stock a classroom!
With your donation, a first grade student will have many personal supplies to support their learning, including folders and an age-appropriate journal for reading and writing. This project will also allow each student to have a pencil box to organize supplies, such as the pencils, whiteboard erasers, and markers also listed. Every student will have their own "book box" to store books at their independent reading level, and each book will be labeled with a mailing label to support organization. Last, you will see that this project will support the environment as well. We will use business card holders to store name labels, command hooks to hang charts onto the wall, and page protectors and/or laminating sheets to protect the paper materials we use.
Help equip my classroom so we can make the magic happen!
