My Students

My students are a diverse group of learners who attend a public elementary school in downtown Berkeley. Our classroom is a special community because of the children that fill it, and they each bring their own cultural and life experiences with them. They come from all walks of life, and they rely deeply on the structure that our classroom brings to their daily lives.

My first graders are curious, empathetic, joyful, and resilient students who love coming to school and learning!

My Project

My first graders are incredibly inventive and creative artists. They love the art projects we do in class each week, and I want to make sure they have the materials they need to continue growing as young artists. This project will give them fresh watercolors, watercolor paper for their paintings, and clay tools that will help them as they learn to create with clay!

I received generous gift cards from friends and family, and I wanted to put those gifts toward some new and exciting art supplies for my students.
