The materials in this project will be used to develop and implement various lessons in my first-grade Visual and Performing Arts classes. Further, these materials will also be used to support my students' social emotional development and problem solving skills.
Many students at our school struggle to express themselves in healthy and safe ways.
By providing my students with guided opportunities to practice and become comfortable with artistic expression, they will be able to develop a toolbox of strategies to help regulate and express their emotions while in the classroom.
