My Project

Many of my students come to my office to discuss personal goals, academic challenges, and college plans. Having a clean, organized, and inviting environment will create a space where they feel respected, valued, and safe to open up. Students will benefit from a professional workspace and see the importance of college and career readiness by modeling what a positive environment looks like.

My goal with these improvements is to transform my office into a true student support hub, where meaningful conversations and focused planning for their futures can take place.

I keep student's personal information so I desk with drawers will help me keep confidentiality! Also, I am planing to do an area where we can sit and talk with comfy seats and a nice rug.

Our program exists to inspire youth from low income and fist generation families to achieve social and economic success by encouragement, advice and support to obtain a college degree.

In my room I help students realize their dreams of being the first in their family to obtain a college degree. In today's economy higher education is no longer a privilege but a necessity for economic opportunity and America's competitiveness in the global economy. A college education remains the best investment a student can make in his or hers own future.

Many of my low income and first generation students and their families believe that college is financially out of reach for them. We are fighting the idea that higher education is not relevant; I am guiding my students to see the importance of a higher education.
