My students need more options for flexible seating. Having the tall tables and chairs will allow students in the back of the classroom to still be able to see the board for maximum learning potential.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Having middle school students is, in one word challenging. They are in a difficult time of their life where their minds and bodies are changing, all while trying to figure out who they are and what they find important while simultaneously trying to fit in with their peers. Like I said, challenging!
Being at a Title 1 school also presents its own challenges as well.
Many of my students come from broken homes and dangerous neighborhoods. Most of my student though are silly, sweet and hardworking; trying their best to make a better life for themselves!
My Project
Lately I've been really inspired by some very creative teachers I have found on Instagram. They have inspired me to try some new ideas in my classroom!
So, I've decided it is time to try some flexible seating options in my 7th grade classroom.
I'm excited to see what this freedom does to improve the learning of my students! Having the counter height tables and chairs will allow me to still be able to use my current desks while giving a few students the option to try something different that might help them to learn and remember better than working at a traditional desk would.
