My Project
Students in our elementary school come from diverse backgrounds and come to school with a passion for learning. Like all students, there are some days in school when students are off-task for various reasons, whether it be things that are going on outside of school, or maybe they are just not engaged. There are other days in school that are so much fun that students are able to forget about anything else going on, and get a chance to be kids and have fun. One of those days for our students is field day. Unfortunately, the students of our elementary school have not experienced a field day in two years due to the pandemic.
I am sure when you hear the words, "field day," positive memories of your childhood flood back.
Maybe you remember the specific friends you had or activities you did, but if not, you definitely remember the way it made you feel.
For me personally, I remember being with friends, getting soaked with water, and just being happy. I remember that it was a day for administrators, teachers, students, and parents to just have fun together. The day was filled with excitement, positivity, and friendship.
The Egg and Spoon Race, 3 legged bands, and sacks will allow our students to have awesome relay races. The cornhole set will give students a chance to play accuracy games and work together as a team. The buckets, sponges, and net will be a fun way to cool kids off with some water events! And finally, the tug of war will allow our students to compete and get some classroom camaraderie! With the materials, we will be able to stay cool, work together as a team, and play fun games. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
