Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My club consists of 9-12th graders, many of whom are English language learners seeking an outlet for their energy and creativity. My students are new to my club, so we work both together as a whole and I work with each of them individually to build their skills and their confidence in those skills.
My Project
Last year, students were stuck at home with limited access to school materials and no ways to participate in a group setting. With these snare drums, my club students will feel more connected to the club and feel like they are truly apart of our school again. By donating to my project, you will help these students gain experiences they may never truly have had and, quite possibly, guide them to explore a passion they might never have discovered without your help. This is also the first year of our drumline and the year for it to leave a good impression. With only a very select few instrument and performing arts clubs/classes to choose from, I think my students need this club to expand their musical horizons. The materials I have requested would greatly help cement the club.
