This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My amazing students are energetic and enthusiastic learners. They have a thirst for knowledge, which keeps me motivated every day. My students attend an inner-city school with a high poverty rate. They continue to attend class on time and stay motivated to learn.

My Project

I am looking to build a classroom library for my 1st graders. This is my first year teaching 1st grade and I currently do not have many classroom books for first grade. These book packs by Scholastic will be a great start to build a classroom library.

My students just love to read.

These books will give my students the opportunity to read together during small group time as well as when they have free time. Having physical books will give my students an opportunity to read and get away from their devices.
