Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 24 first graders in a Title I school. My students come to school each day with a smile on their face and a desire to learn. These children work hard and radiate enthusiasm.

My students make coming to work and doing what I do a joyful experience.

I feel blessed to work with them and motivated to provide an excellent learning environment. I cannot think of a more deserving group of kids. I know that these resources will be put to good use and appreciated by all.

My Project

I am privileged to teach 6-7 years old scholars in a Title I school. I am always amazed by these children and their ability to learn so much in just one short school year. The gains that these children make are nothing less than inspiring. It is my job to create a learning environment for them that is both rigorous and engaging.

Having Kindle Fire Tablets in our classroom would be a game changer.

Not only would the children have access to educational games and resources, but they would also be able to read and listen to thousands of books.
