This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For my students, living and going to school in the inner city poses many challenges for them, socially and financially. Many of their families do not have the means to acquire and utilize technology that is so necessary for them to compete in our global economy. Please help me to give them that chance.

Our students are very hard working and caring individuals, despite the daily challenges they face.

They all want to break the cycle of poverty that they were born into and move out into the world to be successful members of our nation. Living in the inner city is so challenging for them, but they have the drive to succeed and they want to all achieve greatness and happiness.

My Project

I humbly request your assistance in providing my students with the same opportunities that all students across our nation should have. Having Kindle Fires at their fingertips will allow them to enter high school, college and the work force having those important skills, such as Internet research and word processing skills, necessary to compete and become productive, intelligent and caring members of society. I feel that my students will benefit from the Kindle Fires because they will use them for classroom-based research and allow them to have access to thousands of literary titles that we can read in class.

By giving my students the tools necessary to be successful, it is my hope that they can take those technology skills and apply them for the good of our nation.

My students deserve the same equal opportunity that other students receive elsewhere. It was the principles of the founders of our nation that all are created equal and deserve the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness.
