My Students

My students are motivated to read and achieve their yearly goals!

I have a group of 18 wonderful students!

They are learning to become independent thinkers and researchers. Most of the students have a difficult time transitioning to a testing grade for many different reasons..it is my passion and duty to provide them with a learning experiences that they can relate to and have an equal passion for! I want to have a variety of materials to engage my students and prepare them for testing. My students come to me from many different backgrounds--they attend a PYP IB School that places a focus on becoming lifelong global learners.

My Project

The Kindle Fires that I am requesting is an excellent tool for my 21st century learners! This will provide them with an opportunity to do a variety of things at the touch of a finger. My plans for the Kindle is to provide my students with the opportunity to read digital books, enhance their learning while playing games online, and to research topics that we study in science, social studies, and ELA. The Kindle also has modifications such as text to speech to assist my English language learners.

The donations to support this project will improve my classroom by allowing my students to have technological tools readily available to them.

The Kindle Fire will encourage my students to read more, to take ownership in their learning, and increase their success in third grade! Most importantly they will develop into lifelong readers!
