Fire Up Learning For My Kinders!

My Students

My 19 kinders bounce into school each morning enthusiastic for whatever the new day of learning brings their way. Our community is located within 15 minutes of two universities, in a beautiful small town and yet 56% of our students qualified for free and reduced meals in 2018-19.

Classroom technology will allow for enhanced student engagement, learning, and communication.

Imagine all kids having access to current technology, able to record their learning, writing, and reading and share their thinking with their teacher and also with their family!

My Project

My students will be using the Fire tablets, with a shock proof case and specially designed for kids, to record their learning and share it with the teacher and also family at home. They will also increase literacy by listening to reading, recording their own reading, and take advantage of the many educational apps available to them during our Daily 5 Literacy times and Daily 3 Math time.

All children should have opportunity to increase confidence with technology by using current tech daily for learning.

Children who already have access to technology in their homes will be exposed to learning functions that may carry on to their homes for even more learning.
