This school year has been challenging since returning back from on-line learning to in-person learning because of COVID-19. Most of my students needed to readjust to being back in the classroom. From following classroom and school rules to being able to keep up with the rigor of the classwork.
In our classroom students earn points for trying their best, following classroom and school rules, having/showing empathy for others, and being kind!
The incentives will help to replenish and maintain my class store where students can use their points earned to buy the incentive of their choice. This helps them to see how their behavior affects their success in and out of the classroom.
The speaker will be used in class for videos, drama performances, and as an outside music source. We watch videos for different content areas like in science, we do mini performances that include music, speaking, and dancing. All which will be used by our class.
The glow items will be used for our end of unit glow parties. I design activities that focus on our unit and give it a twist with changing our environment from a classroom to a celebration using black lights. For example after a math concept, I take traditional math activities/games and make them GLOW! This helps to reinforce the content that is being taught in a fun and exciting way.
The wagon will be used to haul all our outside equipment when we have PE or special activities like our end of year olympics. My students are looking forward to this event as they can celebrate all their accomplishments they have made this school year. I am really proud of all their successes and cannot wait to celebrate with them.
