My Students

My students are AMAZING! They come to school every day and try their very best! They help guide each other, look out for one another, and are compassionate towards their peers. I am so fortunate to have students who care about their future and are willing to stay late, arrive early, and apply themselves in every class.

Despite the odds stacked against them, my students try harder than most give them credit for.

They don't expect freebies; they know they will work hard for everything they receive in life. It's this resilience that will ensure all their hard work will pay off and provide for a safe and successful future.

With this request (and help from DonorsChoose, their affiliates, and the online community of followers), I hope to provide a more rigorous learning environment that will encourage my students to set appropriate, and challenging academic goals as well as allow for creative outlets through research projects.

My Project

My students are going to finish this crazy year with great memories once we finish these end-of-year projects! After the course exams in late April, my students will be looking forward to using what they've learned over the past 7 months on creative projects.

A picture can say a million words, and that's exactly what my students hope to accomplish with these projects.

They have written essays all year long, and now, finally, they can use that knowledge and display their words through picture stories they will create. Students will collect and connect information about an influential person and create their life through carefully drawn, traced, or collaged pictures. It's a great way to make personal connections with just some of the topics we have discussed this year.
