Help me give my students materials to complete their statistics projects. The end of the year is coming and we complete projects that tap all of my students’ abilities to quantify and analyze data.

My Students
Like most students in 2020, our students are doing the bulk of their learning and socializing online. We finally have the chance to go into the school in person, and it will be great to have hands on activities to work with.
My high school students are fun, have persistence, and work hard, but right now they need a little extra motivation.
My Project
As this strange year draws to a close we have the chance to go to school in person starting in April. My statistics students will be completing end of the year projects to show their command of data collection, data display and analysis.
The materials I have chosen are for measuring in order to collect data.
Measuring sticks and scales are indispensable tools to collect data first hand. Candy is an enjoyable subject for measurement and study. This project will allow students to showcase their knowledge and have fun while doing it.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
