it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When was the first time you were able to write? Can you imagine not being able to write? I am requesting resources to help my students develop their fine-motor skills.
My students are eager learners, they range from grades K-3 and range in disabilities from mild to moderate, low and high incidence disabilities such as Learning Disabilities, Developmental Delay, Autism, and Speech Language Delay.
My students are not able to express themselves through writing. They struggle with fine-motor skills such as holding a pencil. All of the students enjoy using hands-on activities to learn. Our school is located in a high poverty and high crime area, so most students do not have the materials and support at home to aid in their success at school. My goal is to provide them with resources that they enjoy and need so they can improve their fine-motor skills and be successful in writing while at the same time building a strong foundation.
My Project
I'm requesting the See &and Solve Classroom Manipulative Kit that will provide them with a concrete understanding of numbers and quantities. They simply stack beads onto the four sturdy bases to create and solve simple equations. The giant tracing letters and numbers are perfect to develop their fine-motor skills. They come in a giant size to give little hands lots of room to write. The magnetic counting mazes will build number recognition, letter naming, shapes, colors as they fine-tune their motor skills. I'm also requesting linking alphabet &and number monkeys. They will also be strengthening their hand muscles which will help them get ready to write.
Your kind donation will have an impact on my students' lives because these resources will allow them to develop their fine-motor skills which will empower them.
