My Students

Hi! We are Mrs. H's preschool class, learning and loving school in Ohio.

Our preschool class is located in a small town in central Ohio where 100% of students receiving free lunch, based on our families' financial status.

Our classroom is based on play based learning, looking at each child's developmental level. We are a classroom that may not have a lot of resources, but we work hard to receive grants to purchase updated center supplies, classroom necessities, and specific supplies for our thematic units.

My Project

In Preschool, the development of fine motor skills is very important. We work with manipulatives, as well as writing and cutting tools. We create centers where the primary goal is for students to continue the development of their fine motor skills.

Our goal is to continue to develop their fine motor skills through play, which is the BEST way for Preschoolers to learn.

Our students have very little fine motor practice at home, so it is our job to get them ready to be successful writers. Students with developed fine motor skills can hold and manipulate a pencil with greater accuracy.
