My Project
One of the essential and basic needs for a kindergarteners' success early on is attaining the ability to master fine motor skills. These skills take time and practice to develop. Fine motor skills are the ability to coordinate and synchronize movements of the muscles in the hands with the eyes. Fine motor skills can be practiced best using small objects also known as manipulatives.
With access to a variety of manipulatives, my kindergarten students can further develop fine motor skills when handling a plethora of manipulatives to stimulate their hand-eye coordination.
When they handle or manipulate small, age-appropriate, objects with their fingers they are demonstrating they can overcome potential difficulties such as awkward or immature pencil grasp, slow drawing, and messy coloring. Please consider taking part in helping my kindergarteners have access to these crucial resources.
