This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I think fine motor skill development is an area which is often overlooked, yet it is the first stepping stone in getting young children to write successfully and to enhance their confidence as writers. Fine motor skills are the foundation my students need before they learn handwriting, in order to have proper pencil grasp and control of a writing instrument.
My goal for obtaining these letters, stamps blocks and other materials is to increase and diversify the fine motor materials available in our classroom environment and to plan activities that are interesting, engaging and fun while at the same time enhancing and strengthening my student's hand muscles.
