Fine Motor Fun

Help me give my students counting bears, Play-Doh, and watercolors for fine motor skills.

My Students

Our students attend an inner-city public school where approximately 90% live below the poverty line. We spend a lot of time doing hands-on learning.

All of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and participate in the backpack program on the weekends.

This does not stop our students from coming to school and showing their love for learning. We love to explore everything around us, both inside and outside of the classroom. We love to show what we know and learn in a hands-on way.

My Project

These materials will make a large impact in our classroom. We work hard on fine motor skills and try to invent fun ways to practice. The scissors will help with our cutting.

The Play-Doh will strengthen their hands while inspiring creativity.

They can make letters, numbers, or anything their imaginations dreams. The watercolors allow them to mix colors and explore the arts while holding a small paintbrush.

Lastly, the Skittles are a small but great reward that can be used for color sorting, practice picking up with pinching motions, and of course a great treat at the end of a lesson.
