My Students

I work with 14 Title I School students and love what I do. My students mean the world to me when it comes to exposing them to new things.

Most of my students are English Language Learners, others with special needs, free breakfast/ lunch, and 75% of my students come from low poverty environments.

In order for the students to bloom, we will need additional resources since this will be our first year using the Creative Curriculum.

My students come to school eager and ready to learn every day with happiness in their hearts regardless of their circumstances. Most of my students experience difficulty with communication, social/emotional skills, academics, help self skills, and behavior.

I want to help these students in every way that I can to help them be successful and know that through it all, something positive will come out of any situation they may face in life.

My Project

Purchasing "STRAWS"& "Napkins" for my students and other pre-k classes at my school will allow them to continue using their fine motor skills, self help skills and eye hand coordination when using a "STRAW" to drink their milk/juice 3 times a day. Also assist our student with having the proper napkin instead of brown paper towels to wipe their face. For the past 2 months our school has not been able to supply any students with straws and napkins. Without a straw and napkins, our Pre-K students are having a difficult time drinking their milk straight from the carton without spilling a little bit of liquid. My assistant and I have been supplying our students with straws for a while now. We would greatly appreciated a little help with these items.

With this generous donation this will allow our pre-k students an opportunity to help enhance their fine motor, self help skills and eye hand coordination.

I plan to share these straws with the other 3 pre-k classrooms at our school.
