This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in Kindergarten need opportunities to release energy while learning. Help me allow students to experience structured play in Kindergarten. Using playdough, cutters, thick markers, chunky crayons, and art dobbers will allow students to express their creative side and exercise fine motor skills at the same time.
Handwriting can be difficult for some students.
Providing them with extra support will increases their ability to hold a writing utensil correctly, use scissors with accuracy, and complete assignments without feeling fatigue in their hands. These multiple modalities will ensure my students have ample opportunities to exercise and increase their fine motor skills.
Additionally, students who are struggling with mental health issues or a stressful home life can benefit from these modalities. They can express themselves creatively in a safe place, where they feel in control.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
