Fine Motor and Story Retelling

My Project

This project will stock our room with fine motor supplies and tools to help our students show their comprehension while reading. The students in my classroom receive special education services for at least 60% of their school day, many of them are with me for 100% of the day. Many of the students need help to build their fine motor skills to be able to complete daily living activities as they grow up.

Offering a variety of activities is pertinent to holding their interest so they find value in the task.

The same sentiment is true for the reading comprehension felt boards. Showing comprehension of what they have read is difficult for many students who may be nonverbal or emerging as readers.
