My Project

These materials will help my students to improve their fine motor skills and sensory regulation skills while at school. My students at the seven schools I serve range in age from preschool through junior high. These materials will also help to keep supplies organized as we travel from school to school. They have a variety of needs from developmental delay, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, speech-language impairment, genetic disorders, anxiety, ADHD, etc. Students work on a variety of skills to help improve their hand/finger strength so they are able to participate in the classroom setting for coloring, writing, cutting, visual motor, visual perceptual, bilateral coordination, etc. Students need access to different scissors based on their skill level. With access to multiple types of equipment and supplies, students will be able to improve their fine motor and self-regulation for improved sustained attention to task during structured learning activities.
