My Project
I work with students with differing levels of disabilities, and having a sensory and motor-rich environment helps them to engage with academic tasks and increases fine motor skills. I also want to create more social engagement between students.
I have picked items, such as a sand and water table with art sand, that will encourage social engagement as well as motor and sensory enrichment.
Students are in grades 1-3 in a self-contained life skills class and learn better when they have interesting and fun items to incorporate into their day. All students in my class will love these activities.
