Help me give my students a place in my library to "Find their Zen" (to relax and not worry about things they cannot change during state testing time) with calming music, art opportunities, and trying Tai Chi.
April brings state testing time and so many anxieties in our students. I hope to offer them a place within my library where they can go to calm down, rejuvenate, and experiment with art. Calming music will enhance the experience, as well as opportunities to participate in Tai Chi.
Areas will be set up for students to choose different activities such as a calm canvas coloring with the purchased coloring books and markers.
We will also have a place to use the Zen Artist Board where students use water to paint on the board. After a while, the board dries and may be used again. Origami books and papers will be available in another area for student use. We will also have an area designated to use the Shashibo Cubes for students to manipulate into shapes that are shown on cards.
