This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students and their interest and passion for reading. I teach advanced 9th and 10th graders and they are reading choice books this year to practice their reading skills and present information to the class on their reading.

I want students to be able to find books that relate their them and in which they can see themselves.

This is empowering and will hopefully build up their interest and love for reading. I can’t wait to see how excited they are for these new books to be on the classroom shelf!
