My Project

If you're familiar with The Polar Express, you've had an introduction into the magical world of author and illustrator Chris Van Allsburg. His attention to detail in his work is stunning, and he leaves lots of room for conversation and interpretation, making him a terrific subject for a classroom author study.

These books appeal to children of all ages (and adults) and allow for even very young children to interact with the text on a high level.

Students think and talk about these books long after they are done reading them. This set of books will spark some excellent thinking in my learners, and will be used again and again.
