This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Pre-kindergarten is such an exciting part of our school. This is our inaugural year with a pre-kindergarten program in our elementary school and we are very excited to get started! My students are coming in with various backgrounds and school exposure. This makes the needs of my students extremely diverse. My students attend a full day, pre-K program in our Title I school. This means most of the resources we use must come from the district, or out of my own pocket.
All of my students work at their own pace and gain knowledge at their own speed through discovery.
My students come in with various interests and needs and are each active members of our classroom in their own way! They are constantly looking for centers based on their interests, whether it be art, mechanics, writing, etc!
My students also love putting their new knowledge to the test through hands-on independent activities such as sorting, dramatic play, building, and crafts. My classroom requires many hands to make it run and your donation will help my students to grow in their
My Project
We are requesting engaging STEM materials such as a fort builders, giant blocks, and magnets to explore this year! These STEM materials will greatly help engage my young students with science activities this year. These various materials will help me to build scientific inquiry skills as well as engineering skills within my students. No student is too young to experience the benefits of STEM.
My students love using their hands to explore the classroom.
These hands on activities will thrill them and allow them to use their problem solving skills as well as creativity to create masterpieces together! No task is to small for my young friends and they love a challenge. Help me to challenge them by providing new activities to work their minds this year!
