Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are often encouraged to visit school counselors to help regulate their emotions that have the potential to disrupt themselves and others in class. Often times we have developed plans for students to help them take breaks to self-regulate so that they are able to return to class and continue with their academics.

Our school could use tools and fidgets to help create a space that is meaningful for them to feel safe and practice coping skills.

Our school budget often has limitations that don’t allow counselors to have as much creativity as we could with these items in our wishlist.
