This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 5th-grade students LOVE to read. I have collected various books in various genres over the years. We love all my books dearly but students have a hard time finding books. My books right now are in bins which makes it hard to see all the books and find what they are looking for. The bins often get mixed up and books do not get placed back where they belong. The bins also take up a lot of space on my counter.

These new books shelves will be able to create a comfortable and welcoming reading nook for my students.

They will be able to see the title clearly, and the books on stands will enable them to choose the right book. It will also attract more students to grab books and increase their love of reading. The best way for us to create a love for reading is to simply have students read as much as they can. With this addition to my classroom, I hope to enrich and nurture their love of reading
