This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic, self-motivated learners. All of them come eager to learn many new things and have grown willing to take academic risks. My classroom is focused on building a love for learning and discovery. The students work hard each day to flourish in their own learning while building life skills for their future. I wish to encourage my students by helping them to design and implement a personalized learning journey.

My goal is to provide them all the resources to be successful and I want them to have limitless opportunities to explore reading, math, science, and computer science with the best technology and learning materials available.

My Project

We are hoping to add to our classroom library of books and board games to support financial literacy .

Students learn best when they are having fun; using games is an excellent way to teach develop financial literacy.

I would like to provide my students with a variety of games including simple economics-based strategic board games, financial simulations, and monetary management games.

With these games and books my students can learn about earning, spending, saving, and investing money. In addition to important money management skills, students can engage with different aspects of creating and running a business, such as R&D, resource management, pricing, and marketing. Board games also can help my students develop vital social skills. With a large class I would like to have enough games for all students to be engaged in gameplay at the same time.
