My Students

My 19 energetic Kindergarten students love to learn. They come into school each day excited to see what activities will be waiting for them. Many families of our Title I school have been in the school district for generations. I myself went to this school as a student that I am now teaching in.

My kindergarten students' learning styles and needs are as diverse as their backgrounds, but they all have the yearning to be successful.

They are my inspiration to keep learning and bringing in new strategies and high-interest materials that will help them become a productive citizen in society.

My Project

With this Chromebook, I will be able to learn just like the students learn. I will be able to view online videos, search websites and attend conferences for financial literacy activities that I can use with my students who are learning at many different levels. As an educator, we are always learning and educating ourselves so that we can move our students towards the next generation of our society.

I am always trying to help my students work towards being successful in everything that they do.

While searching different websites, attending conferences and collaborating with colleagues I am in hopes of bringing strategies into the classroom that will help me teach the basics for financial literacy during our math lessons to prepare the students for higher education and beyond. Many times it is difficult to leave the classroom to attend outside professional development, so with this Chromebook, I will be able to find resources that will provide me with information that I can use with my students. With this Chromebook I will be able to educate myself and share information with my colleagues to become financially literate so that we can educate our students.
