This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to teach my students about financial literacy in a fun way. We have books about saving and spending from a previous project, and I would like to continue their learning in a hands-on way. What better way to learn about saving, spending, and making important decisions than with board games?

The Game of Life and Monopoly board games will enable my students to problem-solve and make decisions with fake money as they build financial literacy skills.

Talking about money and making choices on what to buy while they play Monopoly will help my students make wise choices. Playing the Game of Life will give them the opportunity to think about the best financial choices for their future. The popcorn I am asking for will be given to students as they play, which will give them an additional boost of energy as they learn. These materials will be a great way for my students to build their financial literacy skills.
